SPORTS THERAPY

I offer a range of manual massage therapies to relieve muscle tension, improve blood flow, and accelerate injury recovery. These methods target the soft tissues to enhance athletic performance and alleviate chronic pain.

Manual deep-tissue massage has a range of benefits for a range of scenarios. It can be used for:

  • Improving performance – by increasing flexibility and muscles' range of motion

  • Reducing tension – by relieving pain, knots and stress in specific areas

  • Boosting circulation – by improving blood flow, thereby promoting healing

  • Preventing injury –  by improving imbalances and tightness in muscles, tendons, and ligaments, all of which reduces the risk of injury.

  • Enhancing recovery – Massage flushes out metabolic waste such as lactic acid, and reduces muscle soreness after exercise

With scraping, I use specialised tools to apply controlled friction and pressure to muscles, breaking down scar tissue. This process increases blood flow, delivers nutrients, flushes waste and stimulates the body's healing response by creating tiny tears that signal the body to produce collagen and elastin, thereby strengthening and repairing the tissue.

I place suction cups on the body to lift skin and muscle tissue, and use heat to remove their air, creating a vacuum that pulls blood and fluids to the surface. This stimulates circulation, reduces inflammation and releases muscle tension and knots. It also increases blood flow, bringing oxygen-rich blood and nutrients to the targeted muscles which helps them repair.
